UKSMA
UKSMA UKSMA is a member-run User Group set up in 1988 as UFPUG, to support users of Function Point Analysis methods. Over time, it has evolved into its current form, supporting the use of all the main Functional Size Measurement Methods, and playing a key part in their development.
Any User Group is only as strong as its members make it, and UKSMA’s survival into the 21st century is a tribute to the contribution of members over the years. Many work in large organisations, others are consultants in the fields of Software Measurement and Performance Improvement.
Its activities include Conferences, Tutorials, Certification exams, Metrics Practices Committee, Participation in International Software Measurement Development activities such as the ISO/IEC JTC1/SC7 Working Group 12, IFPUG, COSMIC, and are the controlling body for the MkII method of Functional Size Measurement.
UKSMA is a Member of the International Software Benchmarking Standards Group (ISBSG) and has been instrumental in the development of the ISBSG/UKSMA Support & Maintenance Metrics definitions.
In addition UKSMA has made significant contribution to the ISBSG Benchmarking Standard Process. UKSMA is able to supply ISBSG Products at a reduced price to its members.
